Reginiano founded the Reginiano Project and Trio for live performances and works with musicians on vocals, guitar, cümbüs saz, piano, violin, contrabass, and drums. He continues to write and release music that pushes boundaries and his individual sound and style have earned him a place in the hearts of music lovers around the world.
Reginiano’s new single ‘Time to Let Go’ (Independent) expresses profound truths through music alone. It lets the music speak through guitar and ney (flute). In an ever-changing world often chasing short-term validation, this music harkens back to a time when people looked to their musicians for healing and a reflection of the timeless. It is issued alongside a video shot at Apollonia National park in Israel – an area close to a beach, an old mosque, and surrounded by historical artifacts. The music is uplifting and beautiful, and the gentle voice lines add a sense of calm and peace still without the need for words but using the simple combination of music to bring everything together.
The combination of guitar, ney, and voice inspires visions of the desert landscapes of the Middle east – borderless, timeless, and unique in their beauty. The guitar provides the gentle, solid backdrop against which the ney rises and soars.
The simple beauty of this music is disarming and provides thoughtful space to stop, sit back, allow the sound to wash over you, and understand we are connected wherever we are by something as profound as music. The message behind the song is to accept life and learn to let go when you find yourself swimming against the tides.
